Alfraganus is a small lunar impact crater in the rugged highlands southwest of Mare Tranquillitatis. It is named after the Muslim astronomer Alfraganus. The crater lies northwest of Delambre and to the south of Zöllner. It has a circular, sharp rim that shows little wear from other impacts, and the floor is about half as wide as the rim. The crater is about 20 km in diameter and 2.8 km deep. It is located at 5.4°S, 19.0°E, with a sunrise colongitude of 343°. On maps, nearby features are labeled with letters placed on the side of the crater midpoint closest to Alfraganus.
