Yimi García is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in MLB. He bats and throws right-handed and was born on August 18, 1990, in Moca, Dominican Republic. García signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2009 and worked his way up through the minor leagues before making his MLB debut on September 1, 2014, with the Dodgers.

He spent several seasons with the Dodgers, including a standout 2015 season, but injuries in 2016 and 2017 kept him off the field. He returned in 2018 and was part of a Dodgers combined no-hitter on May 4, 2018. After 2019, he joined the Miami Marlins, where he had a strong 2020 season (0.60 ERA in 15 innings) and served as the closer in 2021 with 15 saves before being traded to the Houston Astros in July 2021. He later became a free agent and signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.

With Toronto, García pitched well in 2022 (61 innings, 3.10 ERA) and 2023 (66 innings, 4.09 ERA with 79 strikeouts). In 2024 he started with the Blue Jays, was traded to the Seattle Mariners in July, and later faced elbow injuries that ended his season. He re-signed with the Blue Jays on a two-year deal in December 2024. In 2025, he returned to Toronto but needed season-ending elbow surgery on August 29, 2025.

Career highlights through 2025 include a win–loss record of 23–31, an ERA of 3.61, 456 strikeouts, and 29 saves.

A notable moment in his career is the combined no-hitter with the Dodgers on May 4, 2018.
