1994–95 AS Roma season
AS Roma 1994–95 season: Under president Franco Sensi and manager Carlo Mazzone at the Olimpico, Roma was rejuvenated in Mazzone’s second year. Abel Balbo was the top scorer with 22 league goals (22 in all competitions). The club added strength in the summer with Jonas Thern and Daniel Fonseca from Napoli, and Francesco Moriero from Cagliari, who quickly became an important player. Roma finished 5th in Serie A, earning a place in the 1995–96 UEFA Cup, and reached the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
