British Columbia Highway 43

Highway 43, the Elk Valley Highway, is the easternmost spur of British Columbia’s Crowsnest Highway (Highway 3) in the East Kootenay region. This two-lane road is about 34.85 km (21.65 mi) long and runs from Sparwood, where it begins at Highway 3, north along the Elk River to Elkford. Near Elkford you can access Elk Lakes Provincial Park, close to the Alberta border.

The highway was designated in 1983 and has not been realigned since. The entire route is located in the East Kootenay Regional District.
