Red Axes is an Israeli electronic and indie music duo from Tel Aviv, formed in 2010 by Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi. They blend disco, house, garage rock, post-punk, psychedelic rock and techno to create a wide, danceable sound.

Before Red Axes, Sadovnik and Arzi were in a psychedelic rock band called Red Cotton with Udi Naor and Yovav Arzi. The band spent time in Amsterdam and toured Europe. After the breakup, the two stayed in Amsterdam for a while, then returned to Tel Aviv and started Break It!, a rave party brand.

Red Axes released their first EP in 2010 and soon put out music on many labels. Their first full album, Ballad of the Ice, came out in 2014 on I'm a Cliché. It is vocal- and guitar-heavy and includes a collaboration with Abrão and a cover of Bauhaus’s Bela Lugosi's Dead. The album helped the duo gain international recognition and start touring worldwide.

In 2016 they started Garzen Records, their own label. They released albums and EPs from other artists and their own project The Beach Goths, a 12-track album produced with the extended Garzen group. Beach Goths is described as a new psychedelic cosmic adventure that invites listeners to experience music in a personal and flexible way.

Around the same time they released Kill The DJ, which leaned into dark new wave influences. They also put out remixes for Multi Culti and collaborated with Moscoman on several tracks, including Dikembe Manutu, Subaru Pesha, and a remix of Fernandez, plus an EP for Endless Flight. Their track Sun My Sweet Sun drew notable attention for its memorable melody.

In 2016 Red Axes launched Garzen Festival and began curating party nights around the world. They perform in different formats, from DJ sets to a live electronic duo, or as a live band called Red Axes 4.

Red Axes have performed at many international venues and festivals, including Sonar, Burning Man, Coachella, Berghain/Panorama Bar, Glastonbury, Dekmantel, DGTL, Field Day, Pacha Ibiza, ADE and more. They also started an ongoing project called Red Axes Around the World, traveling to Africa to record, perform, and collaborate with local musicians and students, a project documented in a growing video series.
