Whatthefuckdoyouwant is a live duo album by saxophonist Peter Brötzmann and guitarist Sonny Sharrock. It was recorded on March 9, 1987 at Alzette Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, and released in 2014 by Trost Records (TR 124). The music blends free jazz, punk jazz and noise and runs about 1 hour and 12 minutes. The title comes from an incident in Wuppertal, Germany, when Sharrock shouted those words at a manager, who then ran uphill and vanished. Critics describe the album as a powerful, tightly focused duet that highlights listening and communication between the two musicians, with contrasts between quiet, meditative passages and brutal, distorted bursts.
