Yamato Glacier is a glacier in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It is about 6 miles (10 km) wide and flows west between Mount Fukushima and Mount Eyskens in the Queen Fabiola Mountains. It was discovered on October 7, 1960, by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition led by Guido Derom. The glacier was named Yamato after an old Japanese name for a cove in Honshu. In November–December 1960, a Japanese field party visited the area and conducted geodetic and other scientific work. The thickness of the glacier and its current status are unknown.
