1887 Danish Folketing election
On 28 January 1887, Denmark held Folketing elections to choose all 102 seats, with 52 needed for a majority. Venstre won the most seats: 74, about 58.1% of the vote, but they were down 7 seats from the previous election. Højre came in second with 27 seats (about 38.3%), led by J. B. S. Estrup, gaining 8 seats. The Social Democrats won 1 seat (about 3.5%), led by Peter Christian Knudsen, down 1 seat.
