Wind & Wuthering Tour
Wind & Wuthering Tour
Wind & Wuthering Tour was a concert tour by Genesis in 1977 to promote Wind & Wuthering (1976) and the Spot the Pigeon EP (1977). The tour ran from January 1 to July 3, 1977, with 97 shows across Europe, North America, and South America. It was the band’s last tour with guitarist Steve Hackett and the first with touring drummer Chester Thompson. The shows featured improved sound and lighting, including Boeing-style landing lights on stage. The tour marked Genesis’s first South American dates, with eight performances in three Brazilian cities that drew large crowds. Recordings from the Paris shows were used for the live album Seconds Out, released in 1977. A typical concert included material from Wind & Wuthering along with earlier Genesis songs.
