Saskatchewan Highway 271
Highway 271 is a paved, two‑lane provincial road in Saskatchewan that mainly serves recreational areas. It runs about 53.8 km (33.4 mi) from Highway 21 in Maple Creek to Fort Walsh National Historic Site inside Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.
The route begins at the Fort Walsh parking lot, heads northeast for a few kilometres, then turns onto Ranger Station Road. It descends the Cypress Hills through sharp switchbacks, leaves the park, and turns left at Highway 615. It continues northeast across open prairie and briefly runs together with Highway 724 eastward toward Maple Creek, along 5th Avenue. Highway 271 ends at the junction with Highway 21 just past Maple Creek’s hospital, while Highway 724 continues east along 5th Avenue.
The entire road is within Rural Municipality of Maple Creek No. 111.
