Rambla del Poyo is a 43.5-kilometre gorge in Valencia, Spain. It sits between the Turia and Júcar rivers, with its source in the mountains of the Turia Natural Park and its mouth at the Albufera de Valencia near the Mediterranean Sea. The Rambla del Poyo forms where the Rambla de Cheste and the Barranco de la Horteta join in Torrent. The Rambla de Cheste starts in Cheste as the joining of Barranco Grande, Barranco de la Cueva Morica and Barranco de Chiva, which flow through Chiva. The Barranco de la Horteta comes from southeast of Godelleta and collects water from Barranco de Cabezas, Barranco de Cortichelles and the southern slopes of the Perenchiza mountains. After forming in Torrent, it runs southeast toward the Albufera, gathering water from Picanya, Paiporta, Massanassa and Catarroja before reaching the lake. Most of the year the Rambla del Poyo carries little or no water, but on 29 October 2024 heavy rainfall caused a flood through the gorge, peaking at more than 2 million liters per second and causing major damage and dozens of deaths along its course.
