Warren Unna
Warren W. Unna (September 14, 1923 – February 9, 2017) was an American journalist. He earned a degree in international relations from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1943 and began his career at the San Francisco Chronicle. He joined The Washington Post in 1952, and his reporting there led to his inclusion on the Nixon administration’s master list of political opponents. He later served as the Post’s bureau chief in New Delhi from 1965 to 1967. In 1971 he became the Washington-based correspondent for Calcutta-based The Statesman, a role he held for about twenty years. He retired in Mitchellville, Maryland, and died in February 2017 at age 93.
