War Heroes Stadium
War Heroes Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Sangrur, Punjab. It is owned by the Government of Punjab and has a capacity of 10,000 with a grass surface. Opened in 2010, it hosted the Kabaddi World Cup in 2010 and 2013. In 2013, the stadium was upgraded at a cost of 7 crore to install a synthetic athletic track, to be constructed by the National Building Construction Company. The project includes modern facilities for taekwondo, badminton and lawn tennis, alongside athletics, boxing and volleyball, with support from the Sports Authority of India.
