Ben Dirs is a freelance writer and journalist. From 2001 to 2017, he worked as a sports journalist for the BBC News website. While at the BBC, he covered a wide range of major sporting events. He did live blogs for sports such as boxing, golf and rugby to help people who cannot watch live television coverage, often for readers abroad. Dirs has written seven books.
