Matt Mumme
Matt Mumme, born May 15, 1975 in Stephenville, Texas, is an American college football coach. He is the associate head coach and quarterbacks coach at Colorado State University, a role he has held since 2022. Mumme was the head coach at LaGrange College from 2013 to 2016, where his teams led the USA South Conference in passing, averaging 339.1 yards per game. He then served as Nevada’s offensive coordinator from 2017 to 2021, helping quarterback Carson Strong become a two-time Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year and NFL draft prospect. After the 2021 season, he followed head coach Jay Norvell to Colorado State to run the offense, a pass-heavy scheme nicknamed “Fort Air Raid.” Mumme is the son of Hal Mumme, a longtime Air Raid innovator. He played quarterback at Kentucky from 1997 to 1999 and began his coaching career at Southeastern Louisiana. His other coaching stops include New Mexico State, McMurry, Davidson, and LaGrange before moving to Nevada and Colorado State. His head coaching record stands at 12–20.
