List of mayors of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

The city’s government has changed several times:
- 1888–1898: The council had five ward councillors and two government appointees.
- 1898–1902: The city was governed by a government commission.
- 1902: A new system created a council with six councillors-at-large and one mayor, all elected by property taxpayers.
- Today: The city council has 11 members: the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, and nine councillors (five representing wards and four elected at large).
