WLOC is a variety-formatted radio station licensed to Munfordville, Kentucky. It broadcasts on AM 1150 and, via FM translator W269DD, at 101.7 in Munfordville, serving the Bowling Green area. The station brands itself as Studio 101 and is owned by Forbis Communications, Inc. The call letters WLOC stand for “We Love Our Caves.” The transmitter operates at 1,000 watts by day and 61 watts at night (Class D).

WLOC began broadcasting on June 12, 1956, under the South Central Broadcasting Company of Campbellsville. In 1960, stock was sold to Munfordville mayor Jim Berry, who launched WLOC-FM on 102.3 MHz (now WLLI) four years later. After Berry’s death in 1992, the station went silent and was later sold to South Central Kentucky Broadcasting in 1993. Hart County Communications acquired WLOC in 1998, and Forbis Communications bought it in December 2003. In 2016, Forbis added the low-powered FM translator W278AD and relaunched it as W269DD to simulcast WLOC at 101.7.

The Kentucky Headhunters, a southern rock band from nearby Metcalfe County, used to appear on WLOC’s local talent show Chittlin’ Time in the early 1990s and filmed a music video at the station in 1991. Website: wloconline.com; listen live.
