Lemon Parade
Lemon Parade is the debut studio album by American rock band Tonic, released July 16, 1996, on Polydor Records. Produced by Jack Joseph Puig, the 50-minute album blends alternative rock and post-grunge and was recorded in California. It sold about 1.3 million copies in the United States, earning platinum status. The album spawned three singles, including the hit "If You Could Only See," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and stayed on the Hot 100 Airplay chart for 63 weeks. Lemon Parade reached No. 28 on the Billboard 200 and charted in Australia and Canada. The band formed in 1993 with Emerson Hart, Jeff Russo, Dan Rothchild and Kevin Shepard. Hart has said the title track comes from a dream he had. Four music videos were made for the album, including two for "Open Up Your Eyes" featuring a cameo by Mick Fleetwood. In 1999 they released Live and Enhanced, a live EP, and in 2016 they issued Lemon Parade Revisited, an all-acoustic version funded by fans.
