Greenidea artocarpi
Greenidea artocarpi is an aphid, a small insect that sucks sap from plants. It belongs to the animal kingdom, arthropod phylum, and insect class, inside the order Hemiptera (the true bugs). Its full classification is: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Hemiptera; Suborder Sternorrhyncha; Family Aphididae; Genus Greenidea; Species artocarpi. The binomial name is Greenidea artocarpi, described by Westwood in 1890. Like other aphids, it feeds on plant sap.
