Vineeth Kumar (born 11 November 1977) is an Indian actor, director and screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He was born in Pazhayangadi, Kannur, Kerala, and studied at Koodali Higher Secondary School and Government Brennen College, earning a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Calicut. He began as a child artist in Padippura (1988) and won the Kerala State Film Award for Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, where he played the younger version of Chandu Chekavar.

As he grew up, he acted in films such as Bharatham, Sargam, Midhunam, Adwaitham, Devadoothan, Aparichithan, Sethurama Iyer CBI, The Tiger and Vegam. He is also a Bharatanatyam dancer and won the Kalaprathibha title at the Kerala School Kalolsavam in 1988.

Vineeth Kumar made his directorial debut with Ayal Njanalla (2015), starring Fahadh Faasil, and wrote its screenplay. His second film, Dear Friend (2022), starring Tovino Thomas, released in theatres on 10 June 2022 and later streamed on Netflix in July 2022 to critical acclaim. His latest film is Pavi Caretaker (2024), with Dileep. He is married to Sandhya since 2010, and they have two daughters, Maitreyi and Mathangi. He has won a Kerala State Film Award.
