The Cost of Living is the first full-length release by Vermont band The Static Age. Described as a full-length demo, it features post-punk and indie rock sounds and runs 38 minutes and 36 seconds. The album was originally self-released on Primary Records on June 28, 2002, and was re-released in 2003 by Red Dawn Records. It sits in the band’s early discography, followed by Neon Nights Electric Lives in 2005.
