Vincent Zhao, also known as Zhao Wenzhuo, was born on April 10, 1972, in Harbin, China. He is a Chinese actor and martial artist who became famous for his role as Wong Fei-hung in Once Upon a Time in China IV (1993) and its 1994 sequel, as well as in the Wong Fei Hung TV series and the 2018 film Kung Fu League.

Zhao trained in many wushu styles, including tongbeiquan and tai chi, while studying at Beijing Sport University. He won national championships and earned the nickname “Kungfu King.” He was discovered by Hong Kong filmmaker Corey Yuen and made his film debut as the villain in Fong Sai-yuk (1993). After that, he stepped in to portray Wong Fei-hung and built a career in both Hong Kong cinema and mainland Chinese productions.

His film work includes The Blade (1995), The Blacksheep Affair (1998), Fist Power (1999–2000), The Sino-D Dutch War 1661 (2001), Wu Dang (2012), and True Legend (2011). He also directed Counter Attack in 2021. Zhao has appeared in many television series, such as Hero of the Times, Huo Yuanjia, The Master of Tai Chi, and Invincible Knights Errant.

Zhao spent time in the United States and signed with the Hollywood agency CAA in 2006. He was considered for roles such as the lead villain in Rush Hour 3, but he ultimately continued his work in China. In 2017, he became a Health Qigong ambassador.

Personal life: Zhao married Zhang Danlu in 2006. They have three children together—a daughter born in 2007, a son in 2011, and a daughter in 2016. He also has a son born in 2002 from a previous relationship.
