University of Kindu
University of Kindu (UNIKI) is a public university in Kindu, Maniema province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It began as an extension of the University of Lubumbashi and was first named Kindu Center University (C.U.K.). The university was established on October 1, 2004. It became autonomous in 2010 by a government ministerial order. Since 2012, courses are taught in French. The campus is urban, and its nickname is UNIKI.
