Charlie Eckert
Charlie Eckert, nicknamed Buzz, was an American baseball pitcher. He was born on August 8, 1897, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died on August 22, 1986, in Trevose, Pennsylvania. He was a right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Athletics during parts of three seasons: 1919, 1920, and 1922. Eckert made his MLB debut on September 18, 1919, and his last game was on August 28, 1922. His MLB record includes 0–3 in the win–loss column, 22 strikeouts, and an earned run average of 4.52. After his time in the majors, he continued to pitch in the minor leagues until 1936.
