1991–92 Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team
The 1991–92 Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team represented the University of Virginia during the 1991–92 NCAA Division I season. Led by 15th-year head coach Debbie Ryan, they played their home games at University Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Cavaliers finished 32–2 overall, 15–1 in ACC play, and won both the ACC regular-season title and the ACC tournament. They were ranked No. 1 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the coaches poll.
In the NCAA tournament, Virginia reached the Final Four for the third straight year, but lost to Stanford in the national semifinals by 66–65 after leading by seven points with under eight minutes remaining. Senior Dawn Staley repeated as National Player of the Year. Over the past two seasons, the team went 63–5 and spent the entire period ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the AP poll.
