Vincent Hubbard is a fictional character on EastEnders, played by Richard Blackwood. He first appears in 2015 and becomes a regular later that year. Vincent is a confident, smooth-talking man with a ruthless side and a talent for getting what he wants. He is Claudette Hubbard’s son and has deep ties to Walford’s crime world. He knows the Mitchell family and has history with Ronnie Mitchell, including giving her a gun in a flashback.

Vincent becomes the husband of Kim Fox, and together they have a daughter, Pearl, with Vincent also being linked as Pearl’s father and later as the father of Kim’s other child, Mica. The couple’s marriage faces many challenges because of Vincent’s criminal life and his complicated past.

Over time, Vincent’s backstory and connections are explored. He is described as a “main man” who can be charming but who also can be dangerous. He becomes involved in dangerous schemes, clashes with Phil Mitchell and other criminals, and at times works with the police as an informant, which makes his loyalty hard to read.

In 2018, Vincent’s story on the show ends with his fate left uncertain after a confrontation with crime figures. It is later revealed that Vincent was murdered. Years later, a man arrives in Walford claiming to be Vincent, but the truth comes out: the man is Howie Danes, who had been posing as Vincent Hubbard to start a new life. Kim learns the truth and mourns Vincent’s death.

Critics noted that Vincent’s entrance was intriguing and that his character added a layered mix of warmth, humor, and danger. Richard Blackwood’s portrayal earned him award nominations for Best Newcomer.
