Baeocera is a genus of beetles in the Staphylinidae family (rove beetles). It is in the subfamily Scaphidiinae and has more than 300 species, making it one of the largest groups in Scaphidiinae. These beetles are found on every continent. The genus was named by Erichson in 1845 and has had several other names over time, including Sciatrophes, Cyparella, Amaloceroschema, and Eubaeocera.
