Vere Fane, 5th Earl of Westmorland (25 May 1678 – 19 May 1698) was an English nobleman and member of the House of Lords. He was the second son and the oldest surviving son of Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland, and Rachel Bence.

As a young boy he was known as The Honourable Vere Fane (1678–1691) and then Lord le Despenser (1691–1693). When his father died in 1693, Vere Fane became the 5th Earl of Westmorland. He also held the titles 8th Lord le Despenser and 5th Baron Burghersh.

He died unmarried in 1698 at the age of 19, without children, and his younger brother Thomas became the next Earl of Westmorland.
