Wollaston Meadows

Wollaston Meadows is a 14.3-hectare (35-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, on the banks of the River Nene. It consists of two rich hay fields. Plants found there include meadow foxtail, crested dog’s-tail and red fescue. The overgrown hedges and ditches provide homes for birds, small mammals and invertebrates. The site is private land with no public access. It was notified as an SSSI in 1985.
