Valtinho (footballer, born 1956)
Valter Lucca Lateri, commonly known as Valtinho, is a Brazilian former footballer and manager. He was born on January 24, 1956, in São Paulo, Brazil. He played mainly as an attacking midfielder and forward.
Valtinho came through the youth system at São Paulo FC and played for their senior team from 1976 to 1981, appearing in 79 games and scoring 7 goals. He was loaned to Coritiba in 1979, Colorado-PR in 1980, and Internacional from 1980 to 1981. Later, he played for São Bento in 1982 and XV de Jaú from 1982 to 1983.
He was part of São Paulo’s Brazilian Championship-winning team in 1977 and won the São Paulo state championship in 1981. After retiring as a player, Valtinho coached teams in the countryside of São Paulo, including Joseense and Guaçuano. He also owned a truck transport company.
