Uwharrie Lakes Region

The Uwharrie Lakes Region in North Carolina is a group of lakes created by damming the Yadkin and Pee Dee rivers along the western side of the ancient Uwharrie Mountains. The lakes, from north to south, are High Rock Lake, Tuckertown Reservoir, Badin Lake, Falls Reservoir, Lake Tillery, and Blewett Falls Lake. The area is bordered by the Uwharrie National Forest to the east and sits in Stanly, Rowan, Davidson, Montgomery, Anson, and Richmond counties.
