Ludington Area Schools is a public school district in Mason County, Michigan. It serves the city of Ludington and parts of Hamlin and Pere Marquette townships, plus areas of Amber, Summit, and Riverton townships. The district runs three schools for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

As of 2023–24, about 2,063 students attend, with roughly 118 teachers and 229 other staff, giving a student–teacher ratio of about 17.5 to 1. The district’s budget is around $42 million (2021–22). The superintendent is Dr. Kyle B. Corlett. The mascot is the Oriole, and the colors are orange and black. The district’s address is 809 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington, MI 49431, and the website is lasd.net.

History highlights: The first Ludington school started in 1865. Over the years, several school buildings were used, including Central School (1886) and Foster Elementary (1905). The current high school opened in 1953. In 2022, a new Ludington Elementary opened and Foster Elementary closed, as the district updated its facilities.
