Troopers Three is a 1930 American pre-Code comedy film directed by Norman Taurog and B. Reeves Eason. It stars Rex Lease as Eddie Haskins, a quick-witted young man who ends up teaming with two vaudeville performers, Bugs & Sunny (Roscoe Karns and Summerville), after they’re kicked out of a California theater. They all join the U.S. Cavalry.

Eddie falls for Dorothy Clark, the daughter of Sergeant Hank Darby, who also loves Dorothy. A moonlight romance is discovered, and a fistfight ensues in which Eddie loses. When Darby is reprimanded for fighting an enlisted man, the troopers wrongly think Eddie told on him, so they shun Eddie with a conspiracy of silence. Dorothy rejects Eddie.

Desperate to fix things, Eddie hopes for a chance to rescue Darby, perhaps if a fire breaks out in the stables. The film exists today in a 25-minute shortened version.
