Why is the debut solo single by Chinese singer Zhou Jieqiong. It was released on September 6, 2018, marking her first solo project since debuting with Pristin in 2016. Pledis Entertainment announced on August 31, 2018 that Zhou would release the digital single in China on September 6. The song has a tropical moombahton vibe, and its lyrics celebrate a confident, self-assured woman. Zhou performed her solo debut in China the day after the release on iQiyi’s Idol Hits.
