Daniel Kreutzer
Daniel Kreutzer, born October 23, 1979 in Düsseldorf, is a retired German ice hockey forward. He spent most of his career with Düsseldorfer EG in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He came up through DEG’s youth system and made his DEL debut in 1996-97. From 1997 to 2002 he played for Revier Löwen Oberhausen and the Kassel Huskies, then returned to Düsseldorf and became a key player and long-time captain. He helped DEG reach the finals in 2006 and 2009 but never won the German championship. In the DEL he appeared in 1,060 games, scoring 270 goals and 529 assists. Kreutzer retired on August 17, 2017. Internationally, he earned 201 caps for Germany, playing in the 2002 and 2006 Olympic Games and several world championships.
