Thompson & Odell
Thompson & Odell were a Boston-based music business active from about 1874 to 1905. They published sheet music and also repaired and made musical instruments. The business was run by musicians Charles W. Thompson and Ira H. Odell, who had shops first on Tremont Street and later on Washington Street. Around 1900, Carl Fischer Music bought their catalogs for fretted instruments and band and orchestra music, and by about 1905 the Vega Company took over their manufacturing interests.
