Baron Trent
Baron Trent, of Nottingham in the County of Nottingham, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 18 March 1929 for Sir Jesse Boot, a successful businessman and philanthropist who had already been made a Baronet of Wilford in Nottingham on 11 January 1917. Jesse Boot was the son of John Boot, founder of the Boots company. The title was inherited by his son, the second Baron, who also led the family business. The titles became extinct when the second Baron died in 1956.
