Chris Victor
Christopher Karl Victor (born March 24, 1982) is an American college basketball coach and the head coach at Seattle University. He played at Concordia University Irvine from 2001 to 2004, helping the team win the NAIA national title in 2003 and posting a 26-point, 9-assist performance in the title game.
Victor began his coaching career as an assistant at Citrus College (2005-2006) under Rick Croy, then served as an assistant at Concordia–Irvine from 2006 to 2010. He was Citrus College’s head coach from 2010 to 2015, posting a 103-39 record and guiding the team to the CCCAA State Regional Finals in his first season.
In 2015 he joined Eastern Washington as an assistant under Jim Hayford. When Hayford became Seattle’s head coach in 2017, Victor joined Seattle as an assistant. Over four seasons, Seattle went 64-55 with Victor on the staff. After Hayford was placed on administrative leave in November 2021, Victor coached Seattle as interim head coach, starting with a 69-66 season-opening win over Alcorn State. Hayford resigned on November 11, 2021, and Victor was named interim head coach. On March 1, 2022, he was officially named Seattle’s head coach.
As Seattle’s head coach, Victor has an 83-54 record. His teams won the 2022 WAC regular-season title and earned the 2022 WAC Coach of the Year award. In 2024 he led Seattle to the College Basketball Invitational championship, finishing the tournament 4-0. Earlier in his career, he posted a 103-39 record as Citrus College’s head coach.
