The Third String (1932 film)
The Third String is a 1932 British sports comedy directed by George Pearson. It stars Sandy Powell, Kay Hammond, Mark Daly and Alf Goddard. The story, by W.W. Jacobs, was previously turned into a silent film, and this version is based on his short tale.
Plot
A man pretends to be a boxer to impress a woman, but he is soon forced to fight a real champion.
