Kreisliga Schwaben-Augsburg

Kreisliga Schwaben-Augsburg is a local football league in Germany, in the Augsburg region of Bavaria (Schwaben). It currently has 15 clubs and lies at level 8 of the German football league system. The season winner is promoted directly to Bezirksliga Schwaben-Süd. The second-placed teams from Kreisliga Schwaben-Augsburg, Schwaben-Mitte and Schwaben-Süd, along with the 13th-placed team from Bezirksliga, compete in a playoff for the last promotion spot. Teams relegated from the Kreisliga move down to Kreisklassen Augsburg-Mitte, Augsburg-Nordwest or Augsburg-Süd, depending on location. The Kreisliga Schwaben-Augsburg is fed by Kreisklassen Schwaben-Augsburg-Mitte, Schwaben-Augsburg-Nordwest and Schwaben-Augsburg-Süd. Until 1998 it was called A-Klasse Augsburg. Until 2006, reserve teams had their own division; since then they can join the regular league system. The current champions (2019–21) are FC Horgau.
