The Sold Grandfather (Der verkaufte Großvater) is a 1962 West German comedy directed by Hans Albin. It stars Hans Moser, Vivi Bach, and Hubert von Meyerinck. The screenplay was written by Ilse Lotz-Dupont, and the film was produced by Franz Seitz. This movie is a remake of the 1942 film of the same name and is based on a play with the same title.

Filming took place at Bavaria Studios in Munich, and the sets were designed by art director Max Mellin. Cinematography was by Heinz Schnackertz, and editing by Ingeborg Taschner. The production company was Franz Seitz Filmproduktion, and it was distributed by Constantin Film. The film runs 98 minutes and is in German. It was released on 23 March 1962.
