The Singles is a compilation album by English electronic duo Goldfrapp, released on 3 February 2012 by Mute Records and Parlophone. It collects singles from their first five studio albums, plus two unreleased tracks, Melancholy Sky and Yellow Halo. The singles span material recorded between 1999 and 2011 in Wiltshire, Bath and London, and the album runs 54:42. It was produced by Nick Batt, Flood, Pascal Gabriel, Will Gregory, Alison Goldfrapp and Jeremy Wheatley.

After leaving EMI in 2010, Goldfrapp began work on a new studio album. In December 2011 it was announced that a 14-track retrospective titled The Singles would be released in early February 2012, featuring their biggest singles along with two new songs. Melancholy Sky was released as the lead single on 3 January 2012, and the video for Yellow Halo was directed by Lisa Gunning and filmed entirely on an iPhone in South America.

The Singles received widespread critical praise, earning an 85/100 score on Metacritic from 14 reviews. Critics highlighted Goldfrapp’s versatility and craft, with praise for their seamless shifts between electro-glam and atmospheric ballads and for delivering “glitteringly brilliant pop.”

All tracks are written by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, except where noted; credits are adapted from the liner notes.
