Kanon (wrestler)
Kanon (born September 23, 1996) is a Japanese professional wrestler from Kanazawa. He trains under Taka Michinoku, is 180 cm tall and weighs 90 kg, and made his pro debut in 2019. He is currently signed to DDT Pro-Wrestling and is a two-time and reigning KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion, teaming with Daisuke Sasaki and MJ Paul.
Kanon first wrestled as a freelancer in Japan’s indie scene. He debuted for JTO on July 8, 2019, losing to Ryuya Takekura. He won the 2021 JTO Tournament and then claimed the JTO King of JTO Championship on November 18, 2021, but vacated the title after leaving JTO for DDT.
In DDT, Kanon made his debut on April 10, 2022, by defeating Yuki Ishida. On May 22, 2022, he joined the Damnation T.A faction and, with Sasaki and Paul, won the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship in a four-team final, becoming champions. He has competed in many of DDT’s big events, including the King of DDT 2022 (early exit), the D-Oh Grand Prix 2022 (Block B, two points), DDT Peter Pan 2022 (six-man tag), Never Mind 2022 (six-man tag win with MJ Paul and Minoru Fujita), Sweet Dreams! 2023 (four-way tag win with Paul), Into The Fight 2023 (tag win with Paul), and Judgement 2023 (tag win with Sasaki and Paul). He also challenged for the DDT Universal Championship at Nagoya 2023 but was defeated by Naruki Doi.
