The Remix Album...Diamonds Are Forever
The Remix Album... Diamonds Are Forever is a remix album by Welsh singer Shirley Bassey, released on 28 August 2000 by EMI/Nettwerk. It combines some of Bassey’s biggest songs with lesser-known tracks, all remixed by modern DJs and producers such as Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, Kurtis Mantronik, Nightmares on Wax, Groove Armada, Mark Brydon from Moloko (as DJ Skymoo), and Propellerheads, who had worked with Bassey a few years earlier on “History Repeating.” The awayTEAM remix of her 1971 hit “Where Do I Begin” was released as a single and reached number 100 on the UK Singles Chart in 2000. AllMusic reviewer Mark Keresman gave the album 2 out of 5 stars, saying it isn’t for old-school fans but club-goers may enjoy it.
