The Lakes is an outer northeastern suburb of Perth in Western Australia, located in the Shire of Mundaring. It sits about 51 kilometres east of Perth’s central business district, at the junction of the Great Eastern Highway and the Great Southern Highway, and is the easternmost suburb in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.

In the 2021 census, The Lakes had a population of 20. The main features are a roadhouse and a service station at the highway junction.

The Lakes borders the western part of the Shire of Northam and the community of Woottating. BGC has quarrying operations there, and trucks use the Great Eastern Highway to reach various Perth-area locations, including a brick manufacturing site near Perth Airport.

From the junction, you can travel north to Northam or south to York.
