The Lady Iron Chef is a 2007 Hong Kong Cantonese-language film produced by Wong Jing and directed by Chung Siu-Hung. It stars Charmaine Sheh, Hacken Lee, Yuen Qiu, and Wong Jing, and it opened in fourth place at the Hong Kong box office.

During a big Supreme Dim Sum cooking contest, Madame To and her son SK To judge. Three contestants fail, but a mysterious contestant impresses, and Jade ends up winning. Madame To hopes Jade will marry her son, while Ceci, a poor girl who introduces chefs onto the stage, is drawn to SK. Although SK admires Jade, he refuses to marry her and is later kidnapped. Ceci rescues him and hides him at her home, where they grow closer and fall in love.

To prove Ceci can be a worthy wife, SK’s mother demands that Ceci cook as well as Jade. Ceci’s father, Souza, takes her to Macau to learn from Lady Green, a descendant of a royal chef who turns simple ingredients into superb meals. Ceci trains hard, prepares to challenge Jade, and the contest becomes a North-versus-South cooking duel.

In the final round, Ceci makes a loaf of bread that helps Jade create an “Emperor toast” that earns loud applause. Ceci is given noodles to cook a dish called “Brokeback Noodles” and wins the competition, proving she is the true Lady Iron Chef.
