Djamchid Chemirani
Djamchid Chemirani (1942 – 5 November 2025) was an Iranian musician and composer. He played the tombak, a traditional Persian drum, and taught Iranian music at the University of Paris. Born in Tehran, Iran, he performed in 2012 at Au fil des voix with his sons Keyvan and Bijan. He died in Manosque, France, on 5 November 2025, at the age of 83.
