Balashikhinsky District

Balashikhinsky District was a district in Moscow Oblast, Russia, with its administrative center in the city of Balashikha. The population was 225,381 in 2010, 187,988 in 2002, and 31,964 in 1989, with Balashikha accounting for about 95.6% of the district’s residents. The district existed from 1941 to 2011, except for 1963–1965, and was known as Reutovsky District from 1929 to 1941. On January 1, 2011, it was abolished and reorganized as Balashikha City Under Oblast Jurisdiction.
