The Golden Web (novel)

The Golden Web is a mystery novel by British writer E. Phillips Oppenheim, published in 1910. He wrote it under the pen name Anthony Partridge. The story first appeared as a serial in Ainslee’s Magazine, and the next year it was published as a book in Britain and the United States.

The book was adapted into silent films. A 1920 British version, directed by Geoffrey Malins and starring Milton Rosmer, kept the title The Golden Web. In 1926, an American silent remake was directed by Walter Lang and featured Lillian Rich, Huntley Gordon, and Lawford Davidson.
