Ter Wisch
Ter Wisch is a small hamlet in the Netherlands, in the province of Groningen. It is part of the Westerwolde municipality and sits about 20 km northeast of Emmen. The name means “wet pasture that often floods in winter” and it was first mentioned in 1474 as de wisck. The postal area for Ter Wisch is Ter Apel, and the hamlet has place name signs. In 1840, 29 people lived there; by 2021 the population was about 310. The area covers roughly 22.83 km2, with a population density of about 14 people per km2, and it sits about 12 meters above sea level. Coordinates: 52°54′50″N, 7°5′55″E.
